ICACCR 2025 Conference

We would like to invite you to attend the 4 International Conference on Advances in Cement and Concrete Research (ICACCR 2025) which will be held from 4 – 7 November 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa. ICACCR 2025 is organised based on the collaboration between the University of South Africa (UNISA), South Africa and Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria, bringing together two different research groups: the Sustainable Green Concrete Research Group (SCCRG) at UNISA and the Cement and Concrete Research Group (CEMCON) at LAUTECH.

The ICACCR 2025 aims to bring together academics, researchers, and industry professionals to showcase their latest ndings in the fields of cement and concrete technology. The conference themed “Innovative Construction Materials and Technologies for Sustainable Development” intends to accommodate knowledge in the field of supplementary cementitious materials, 4 IR technology in concrete, nanotechnology in cement composites, concrete for resilient and durable buildings, water quality in concrete production and concrete materials for sustainable development.

The conference will be hybrid (both on-site and online) and online presentations will be possible during specially organised virtual sessions.

Call for Abstracts & Papers

The ICACCR 2025 conference invites submissions focusing on the theme and the following sub-themes:

Two types of submissions will be accepted:

Full Papers: Authors can only submit a paper if their abstract has been accepted. Full papers of 6-8 pages should be submitted, providing detailed descriptions of original contributions that are not currently under review elsewhere.


Extended Abstracts: Authors who do not wish to submit full papers can submit extended abstracts of 2 pages, which will be featured in the book of abstracts but not included in the proceedings. These abstracts should encompass all essential elements, including references, 

Proceedings: Accepted full papers which have been presented at the conference will be published. All submitted papers will undergo a rigorous double blind peer review process and accepted papers will be published in the periodical Materials Research Proceedings, indexed in SCOPUS, Google Scholar, Inspec database, CAS, etc.

Deadline for submission of extended abstracts: 31 July 2025
